So… apparently I had an old FAQ hanging around here. Instead of just deleting it I figured that since I do still get asked a fair few reoccurring questions that I might as well just update it for future reference. :3

Q. Do I need to friend you on LJ to see the R-18 doujinshi scans?
A. Not at all. Just send me a message either here or on LJ and I will reply to the message with the links to the doujinshi you're after.

Q. Can I add you as a friend on LJ?
A. If you're friends with me on here then I'll definitely friend you on there too. However, I feel uncomfortable adding completely random people to my friends list there, since I use entries to talk about my life, so if you don't know me but want to friend me there I'd prefer it if you sent me a message first saying who you are. I get a lot of random people I don't know trying to add me on there just to see the doujinshi so it makes me a bit cautious.

Q. I sent you a note asking for R-18 doujinshi links a few days ago and you haven't replied yet. Are you ignoring me?
A. This is something that I get a lot… Sadly, my job and other obligations prevent me from being able to reply to messages everyday, so please be patient. I will send you the links as soon as I can and sending me multiple messages demanding them will only clog down my in-box even further when I do get time to check the messages. If you haven't gotten a reply by about three weeks, however, it's safe to assume that I haven't gotten your note and you should try sending another one.

Q. Are there any other places online where I can see the R-18 doujinshi scans without messaging your or adding you on LJ?
A. For the Layton doujinshi the majority of them also get posted here: [link], with a few exceptions. For Ace Attorney doujinshi the majority also get posted here: [link] So if you are a member of those communities then you'll be able to see them. For other series I don't really post the scans in other places so much, sorry.

Q. Can you scanlate/translate any of the doujinshi you've posted?
A. Nope, I don't know any Japanese, so I cannot translate any of the doujinshi posted here. However, an LJ comm. called Sugarparade ([link] has been nice enough to scanlate a few of my Layton doujinshi. You need to be a member there to see them, but it's easy enough to join. Please don't badger them to scanlate anything else though, as they are very busy people who have done so out of kindness and not because I've asked them to.

Q. Where did your username SamCyberCat come from?
A. My first self insert OC was called SamCyberCat. She has been long since dropped as a character, but the name itself is still the one people recognise me by, so I've never bothered to change it.

Q. Can we talk on Skype/AIM/MSN/Yahoo Messenger/etc.?
A. I'm sorry, but I really don't use instant messengers at all. I always feel bad saying this to people, because it makes it seem like I'm shunning them on purpose, but I honestly don't like messengers very much. If you want to talk to me then you can do so on here, LJ or any of the other websites that I use regularly.

Q. Will you RP with me?
A. Usually I tend to get asked this from people I've never spoken to before, so in that case I tend to say no because I feel uncomfortable RPing with strangers. I honestly only have a select few people who I generally RP with. But if you're a Layton fan and you want to RP with me, then try the LJ community "laytondressing" ( [link] ), as I RP there from time to time.

Q. Will you join my group?
A. Depends if it's something I'm interested in or not. Feel free to send me invites or ask me, but please don't be too offended if I say no.

Q. Will you draw me gift art?
A. I Thought this would have been obvious - I draw gift art for whomever I choose. Mostly my friends, but sometimes random people or to repay people who have drawn something for me.

Q. It's my birthday, will you draw me something now?
A. If you're a friend and I have time, then sure! :3 …If you're a random person commenting on my front page to tell me it's your birthday and you want me to draw you something, then probably not. XD

Q. Can I use your art on my website?
A. Ask me first. This includes for use on Tumblr. Please don't take my art and put it on Tumblr without asking me first, even if you link back to the original.

Q. Grrr, I'm gonna flame you for liking this character and/or couple!
A. Go ahead, I've reached the point where childish things like that amuse me.

Q. Wanna do a collab?
A. My CG skills are quite poor so I don't tend to do those for art. As for fics, well I've honestly never done that sort of collab before so I'm not sure about it.

Q. Why don't you draw as much [insert series here] art now?
A. Changes of interest and/or lack of time, usually.

Q. Why do you draw [insert theme here] when so many people don't like it?
A. I draw themes because I enjoy them. If they offend people then those people don't have to look at my stuff.

Q. Do you want to hear me rant about how GX, FuRyo, Layton/[Clive or Luke], etc., sucks?
A. Not really.
