Featuring her character, Travis Sr., who I knew I wanted to draw ever since her most recent submission featuring him, because I really feel for him and his situation. Like with Dani's gift a few days ago, I'm sorry that this is kind of a small gift, I've just hardly had any time left over for drawing lately. But after everything that Cari's done for me (especially listening to me whine about my woes recently XD) I wanted to draw a little something to show my appreciation.
You never do disappoint on surprising me with who you pick XD Like you say, it's always someone who's been done recently, so you're sure of accurate design (which is thoughtful on your part 
) but there's always so many I could never pinpoint one. Not gonna lie, it totally makes my birthday

I'm glad to hear I could help there! I still need to reply a little more on it, but again, I'm glad you shared that all with me and I hope you've been assured by me (and others) that you were definitely not at fault in those situations. You are such a good and generous person and people take advantage of that D: Which is bullshit, but I won't ruin the rest of my comment with that negativity. Just grinds my gears the world has petty people like that in it ><;
But yes, on the concept of personal woes, Travis Sr is definitely an appropriate choice, poor dear ;; Between the dissolution of his marriage and trying to take care of/be there for his three kids all by himself, he's probably pretty run down and spread thin for awhile. It gets better in time of course, but it's still a rough situation. So he probably takes personal time (when he can find it) to just try to process and allow himself to admit he feels overwhelmed, like this. Goodness knows he deserves to.
You really depicted him perfectly in this~ You did a wonderful job on the sweater details, and the pillows look so fluffy and comfortable ;w; I feel like all is missing is a nice blanket. So he can wrap himself in it and be a sad burrito xD *HIT* Maybe his kids could bring him some hot cocoa. But yeah, his exhausted expression is just... hearttugging D: You can really feel the defeat in it. Also like the shine of his nose and the volume of that fluffy tail~ I LIKE TINY DETAILS OKAY. 8D All in all, I hear how he feels somedays and just wish I could give him a big ol' hug
