Layton 30 Day Meme - 11-15

I found this 30 day meme floating around a while ago and decided to fill it in for the Layton series.

However, instead of just filling it out I decided to do it using really bad MSPaint doodles, because I love doing really bad MSPaint doodles but rarely get the chance to. They’ll be posted in batches of five and needless to say I won’t actually be doing this meme daily, just whenever I happen to get a row of five pictures done for it. Maybe I won’t even finish it, who can say? XD

Anyway, here’s the questions covered in this entry:

11. Character you'd become best friends with
Barton - This was a hard question for me, because I'm not really interested in "self inserting" myself into the series, so I hadn't put a lot of thought into how I'd interact with the characters if I did. However, recently I wrote a fic called 'A Dove is Just a Posh Pigeon', demonstrating why I personally don't think Clive/OC pairings would work out very well, and to reduce the risk of offending anyone I used an OC based on myself. During this story the OC and Barton ended up hanging out together a lot. I wouldn't say they were best friends, more like people who pass each other in the street and say hello, but at the end of the story I definitely felt that they'd probably become better friends later on. So that's why Barton is my choice here.

12. Character with your favorite voice/seiyuu
Layton, Legal & Dimitri - YES, I AM HORRIBLY INDECISIVE. Worse so, because actually Crow should be in there too (his voice was so terribly odd that I had to love it xD) but I forgot to add him. I just... like a lot of the voice acting in this game. In case anyone's wondering, I'm referring specifically to the English dub voice acting for these choices. Nothing against the Japanese voice acting, it's just that I prefer the English voice acting personally. And before anyone says it, yes, I know that Clark has the same voice actor as Dimitri, I just happen to prefer that voice on Dimitri.

13. Character you'd go camping with
Luke - Because he totally strikes me as a Boy Scout sort of person and it'd be a lot of fun. XD

14. Character you wouldn't mind being roommates with
Keats - The thing is, I don't get along very well with people. And even people who I do get along with I probably wouldn't feel comfortable living with. But cats, I get along with cats well enough. I could live with cats. Almost definitely, I'm going to be a crazy cat person when I get older. So, there are three cats in the PL universe - Claudia, Catanova and Keats. I ruled out Claudia straight away, because he's prissy and would demand more than I could probably afford to provide him with. And while Catanova is my favourite cat in the PL series, he's also a randy bugger and I'd just feel plain awkward if he ever brought lady cats to the house. XD So that leaves me with Keats - not too demanding and also not as likely to bring home the ladies. Sounds like a good roommate to me.

15. Character you'd want to cook for you
Paddy - There aren't a lot of characters known for cooking in this series. There's a character known for being really bad at cooking (hello Flora), but for good cooking the only two I could think of were the two chefs, Macaroon and Paddy. Now I'm sure they're both great, but judging from the food on the Molentary Express, Macaroon's cooking is a bit too fancy for me personally. Whereas Paddy worked in exactly the sort of little restaurant I'm used to seeing where I live, so I'd probably feel more at home with his sort of cooking. Even though the character profiles say that he's not the best in the world. But whatever, I'm looking for a quick meal, not the best food in the world. XD
