Gemsona - Chrysocolla

Description

One of the things that we did while staying with SpectrumV was create gemsonas!

I'd never been too sure about doing one before, because I feel at this stage we still have a lot to learn about the gems and I wouldn't want to do something that might get contradicted later on. As well as that, there are so many people who've made gemsonas that I'd be worried about stepping on their toes by using a gem that many other people have already used.

...But then I figured it was just for fun, so why not? 8D

This is Chrysocolla, who doesn't have much of a backstory or character yet. I kind of want her to be from homeworld and to be a kind of gem who literally just exists to do dull manual labour tasks that no one else can be bothered with, but again, I'll probably wait until we know a bit more about homewold before deciding anything like that.

Also, all of these are a bit wonky and none of the views really match up with each other, but it was just to give a rough idea. Also, if we're friends and you have a gemsona then we should totally do fusions sometime! :D

Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhh so adorable!  She's so tiny and cute =P  I love the mineral you chose and the way you interpreted it for a character design.  That hair is trippy XD  I want to know more about her when you get around to working on her backstory~

I kind of did think about doing this myself too.  I was trying to choose between two different minerals, dioptase en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dioptase and chrome diopside en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diopside…  I know both of them have already been used by people before, but like you said, fuck it, it's a fun thing to do.  And now I'm sort of leaning towards dioptase just because it forms together with chrysocolla--there's even a photo of the two together on the wiki page I linked!
