General High Breed Update:

I'm kind of in two minds about High Breed right now. For the most part, I do think that it's best if I don't force myself to work on it when I'm not motivated, but at the same time, if I don't work on it at all then I'll never get it finished. So I might tread back and forth between uploading new stuff, then taking long breaks from it. We'll see.

Franklin Ellis

A minor character whose role in the story has already been written about in Serenity and Mitzi's descriptions.

There's not very much for me to write about him, really. He's a badger-pheasant hybrid was born to a wealthy Amirian family and managed to evade exile for a long time due to his family keeping him hidden from the rest of the world. However, their strange behaviour was eventually brought to the attention of the authorities and Franklin was sent away.

Because he came from an upper-class background was sent to the hybrid dimension so much later on, he always had a sense of entitlement that he didn't belong there and that one day it would be realised that this was all a mistake and he'd be sent home. Really, even if he went about it in not the best way, he was absolutely right to feel that he shouldn't be forced out of his home because of who his parents were.

However, despite wanting to return to Amiria, he did not join the hybrids who travelled there during the first or second wars, because he knew that confronting the Amrian armies would be a fruitless effort and he didn't want to place himself in the line of fire. Because of this, when the hybrid dimension was blown up at the end of the second war, it was highly likely that Franklin was one of the people who didn't escape the explosion.

Your hybrid species are always so awesome! I would be very surprised if you told me anyone else had already invented a badger/pheasant cross, I really would.

He seems like one of those characters who you'd find kind of annoying, personality-wise, but when it's implied he dies you'd actually be really upset.
