Layton raised an eyebrow, his hand still out-stretched from his request to see the paper. Quite frankly he had no idea why Flora was so upset. It was unusual enough for her to be awake and to have read the paper before him, but this was just baffling.

"Please Flora, just let me have a look," he said calmly, "If the press has written anything negative about me then I'm sure that it's nothing I can't handle."

So, this doodle has a bit of headcanon behind it.

In the Eternal Diva movie, Sammy Thunder makes a cameo appearance in Layton's class. The cameo is of course meaningless, but I couldn't let go of the idea that Sammy signed up for archaeology lessons by mistake, thinking that learning about rocks was the same as learning to rock.

So now Layton is stuck with this guy who really doesn't know anything about archaeology, but he's determined to help him pass all the same. In turn, Sammy doesn't understand what digging up fossils has to do with rock music, but he trusts Layton's teaching and believes that he will qualify a full-fledged rock star, reading to tackle anything.
